Raw Hummus



  • ¼ c. raw sunflower seeds
  • ¼ c. raw garbanzo beans
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 2-4 cloves garlic
  • ½ c. olive oil
  • 1 ½ t. cumin
  • 1 t. salt
  • ½ t. soy sauce


Place the sunflower seeds and garbanzo beans in a bowl to soak in water overnight and sprout 1-2 days until there are tiny tails. Once these are fully soaked, place these items in a Cuisinart/Blender and add the remaining ingredients. Blend until all items are combined and the texture is your desired amount of smooth (some people prefer their hummus to be a little chunky).
